A campaign which is soon to end, but needs a final push to help reach their target. This has all the markings of a film which has to be made:
“Shattered Love is an emotionally charged short film about a terrified and confused young woman who struggles to understand why a much older man is holding her captive.”
Directed by: John Scheer
Produced by: Dawn Fields
Written by: Carly Street
Carly Street says that ‘Shattered Love’ stemmed from a heartbreaking conversation she had with the daughter of an elderly woman who couldn’t understand why her mother couldn’t recognize her. This conversation inspired Carly to write the script which she entered into the Palm Street Films script contest which she won!
Alzheimer’s is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States and the only cause of death among the top ten that cannot be prevented, cured, or even slowed.
This powerful short film will help raise awareness and shine a light on the pain and devastation caused by this relentless disease, both on those who suffer and the loved ones who fight to protect them.
Because of the film’s subject matter, the level of actors involved and the high emotions of the film we feel we have every chance to make it into the major film festivals, starting with Sundance, whose deadline is rapidly approaching, and we need your help to get there.
The minimum amount we need to make this film is $40,000, but $50,000 would allow us to do it comfortably.
Anything we raise OVER AND ABOVE $50,000 will be donated 100% to the Alzheimer’s Organization. So please give and give generously. It’s going to a great cause!
We raised over $5,000 in our first campaign (in just 14 days) based on the script alone! Now we’ve taken that money and attached a stellar cast, an amazing director and we’re ready to move to the next stage of production.
***THIS CAMPAIGN COMES WITH A 100% MONEY BACK GUARANTEE!! IF THE FILM IS NOT MADE AND COMPLETED BY THE END OF DECEMBER 2012, ALL DONATIONS WILL BE REFUNDED IN FULL!!***
